Position Objectives
A Community Social Services Technician (CSST) with Adult Services assists individuals, especially those with disabilities or seniors, with their transportation needs. This may involve driving them to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or other essential errands.
Duties & Responsibilities
Transportation:
Operating agency vehicles to transport clients.
Ensuring safe and efficient transportation, including route planning and time
management.
Following transportation guidelines and regulations.
Maintaining accurate records of transportation services provided.
Client Support:
Assisting clients with mobility issues, such as wheelchair management.
Providing transportation to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and
other appointments.
Assisting clients with grocery shopping, errands, and other personal needs.
Observing client behavior and reporting any concerns or changes to case managers.
Documentation:
Maintaining records of client appointments, transportation routes, and other relevant
information.
Reporting any issues or concerns related to transportation or client safety.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Desirable Training and Experience
​
Valid drivers license and experience operating agency vehicles.
Demonstrated ability to provide safe and reliable transportation services.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of local area routes and transportation options.
Ability to handle challenging situations and maintain composure.
