Position Objectives

 

The Processing Assistant IV supports the Adult Services Division by performing a wide
range of administrative, technical, and clerical tasks. This role involves providing
administrative and clerical support to the adult services department, which includes
duties such as record keeping, data entry, CAP billing, and public contact. The assistant
may also help with processing documentation, compiling reports, and managing files
related to Adult Services programs. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-
oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.


Duties & Responsibilities

​​Record Keeping and Data Entry: Maintaining accurate records and entering data into computer systems. 

Assign case numbers and SIS numbers to new clients from intake reports.

Assign case numbers for new assistance requests.
Enter and maintain all required state forms in the system.
Public Contact: Answering phones, providing information to clients, and assisting visitors. 
Document Processing: Processing paperwork, preparing correspondence, and managing files. 
Report Generation: Compiling and preparing reports for agency management. 

Support Staff: Assisting social workers and other staff members. 
Office Management: Managing the office, ensuring it is well-organized and efficient. 
Special Projects: Assisting with special projects as needed. 
Confidentiality: Maintaining the confidentiality of client information.
Billing: Complete monthly billing for the CAP program and maintain required CAP monthly paperwork
Perform additional administrative or clerical duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

​

High School Diploma

​

Desirable Training and Experience

​​​

NC Notary Public certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
Experience working with sensitive and confidential information.
Familiarity with state systems and documentation procedures.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all duties.
