Duties & Responsibilities
The Processing Assistant IV supports the Child Support Unit by performing a wide range of administrative,
technical, and clerical tasks. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of intake
applications, case documentation, and inter-agency communications. The ideal candidate will be highly organized,
detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsible for answering telephone calls and helping drop-ins at the window.

Documenting all calls on open cases in ACTS.

Processing all incoming and outgoing mail.

Processing all incoming applications whether it is through drop off, online, or referrals from Medicaid/AFDC.

Building cases in the ACTS system.

Performing locates on new cases such as finding addresses and/or employers.

Sending requests for Third Party Table to add/update employers.

Perform additional administrative or clerical duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
​
High School graduation
Computer Proficiency
Bi-Lingual ability (English/Spanish) is desirable
Pre-Employment Drug Screening

Desirable Training and Experience
​
​NC Notary Public Certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems.
