Position Objectives
The senior center is seeking job applicants for a part-time (up to 19 hours per week) position in food
service operations at the McDowell Senior Center. Employee will assist higher level personnel with the
daily operations of the home-delivered meal program and is also involved in the cleaning activities
which facilitate good sanitation and food service. Work is performed under supervision by a higher-level
food service employee and is reviewed regularly for successful completion of assignments.

Duties & Responsibilities
​
The employee will help assist setting up and tearing down beverage stations in dining room, helping
serve and pack home-delivered meals, collect and clean delivery bags and coolers, clean work areas and
center serving area. Additional duties include taking out garbage, mopping floors and assisting other
kitchen staff as needed with meal preparation, washing dishes, assisted staff and volunteers of dining
room serving line.
Employee will ensure standards of sanitation and food safety are maintained.
This position is 19 hours per week primarily working between the hours of 9:00am-1:30pm Monday-
Thursday and 9:30-1:00 on Fridays.

Desirable Training and Experience
​
Prefer job candidates with at least 6 months experience in food service or related field.
